Speedwell Trust River Workshop
Today the Speedwell Trust visited St Mary’s to deliver a workshop on rivers. Stephen and Jodie spoke to the pupils about habitats, eco systems, animals and rivers. The focus centred on local river systems, the creatures found in our rivers and the inter connected nature of the eco system associated with our local rivers as well as how each part of the eco system relies on each other. The pupils had absolutely fantastic fun during the workshop and the pupils also learnt lots about our local rivers and their eco systems. This workshop also strongly linked to our Eco School work and topics which again was invaluable as it increased the pupils knowledge further on our Eco School topics for the 2021 to 2023 Eco School cycle. A massive thank you goes to the Speedwell Trust and also a big thank you goes to Stephen and Jodie for sharing their expert knowledge with the pupils. A huge thank you also goes to the pupils from P4 to P7 who participated so enthusiastically in regards to the workshop. Going forward the pupils are looking forward to continued learning connected with the Speedwell Trust. Attached are photographs of the workshop today.
