In the class picture, you will see our class display aptly named "God Always Forgives". Inspired by the story of Zacchaeus. Each child in the tree is asking for forgiveness.
The key themes from this story are acceptance, welcoming, love, forgiveness and change. Hopefully the children will experience these feelings after receiving their Sacrament of Penance. Jesus was willing to accept and forgive Zacchaeus after admitting his wrong doings, and, as a result Zacchaeus was changed by God's perpetual love.
This story has an important message of kindness and forgiveness. As the children prepare for their Sacrament of First Communion we hope they continue to ask for forgiveness and show love, just as Jesus would want them to.
