As the end of the school year approaches I wish to appeal to your generous natures one last time. When your children come back to school in September they are always beautifully turned out, often with new school bags, pens, pencils, shoes etc. It is the old school resources that I am interested in collecting for a charity called Mary’s Meals. I have sent home a leaflet explaining the work of this charity who do so much to give children in the poorest countries an opportunity to have a good meal each day and attend school, something which we take so much for granted here. If you could please donate some of the items outlined I would be very grateful, please remember they do not have to be new. Have a search in cupboards for old things you may have forgotten about, it would mean so much to a little child who has nothing.
There will be a box in the school hall from tomorrow to collect all these resources, it will be there until the very last day of school when you may be finished using a lot of these school things. What an excellent way to start the summer by donating all these items to children in need. Thank you so much for all your support for fundraising this year for charity and indeed our school, let’s have one final push now and make this collection for Mary’s Meals a great success.
